Unsere farblich harmonisch in einen tropischen Garten eingebettete Anlage, ein Paradies für Vogelkundler, verfügt über 16 geräumige Wohneinheiten in acht freistehenden Bungalows.Diese Dorfanlage gruppiert sich auf ca. 15.000 m2 um ein speziell für unser Hotel konzipiertes Designer-Schwimmbecken und Whirlpool mit Wasserfall. Für ein besonderes Ambiente sorgt unser Restaurant im Rancho Stil wo unsere Gäste hausgemachte Spezialitäten wie Eiscreme, Brot, Chili-Sosse und zahlreiche tropische Gerichte geniessen können . Unsere hellen, luftigen Räume mit Moskitonetz, Klima-Anlage oder Ventilator und privater Terrasse sind komplett gefliesst und mit Naturholzmöbeln aus Öko-Plantagen ausgestattet.Ein King-Size- und ein Einzel-Bett, kleine Sitzgruppe und ein offener Kleiderschrank sind in jedes Zimmer harmonisch integriert. Eine Mini-Bar und Safe lassen unsere Gäste sich "wie zu Hause" fühlen. Jedes Badezimmer verfügt über eine Heisswasser-Dusche und separate Toilette mit Handwaschbecken. Eine WIFI Verbindung finden unsere Gäste im Restaurant vor, dass gleichzeitig als Rezeption und Informationpunkt für die vielfältigen Ausflüge in die Umgebung genutzt wird. Dort bieten wir unseren Gästen am Morgen kostenlosen Kaffee bereits ab 6.30 a.m. an. Ein Wäscherei-Service steht bei Bedarf zur Verfügung.
Rechtzeitig zum Saisonbeginn 2010 konnten wir unsere neue Sonnenterasse unterhalb des Schwimmbeckens und den neuen Wanderweg „Las Palmas“ mit Zugang zu unserer Ölpalmen Plantage einweihen. Ein dreisprachiges Pflanzen- und Vogelhandbuch bringt unseren Gästen die Fauna und Flora in unserer Gartenanlage näher. Für ganz Wissensdurstige bieten wir eine geführte Wanderung in die Plantage mit anschliessendem Vortrag und Erläuterung der einzelnen Produktionsstadien des Palmenöls an.
The hotel, under German management, is located in the south of Costa Rica's, at only 1.5 km distance from the "Panamerican Highway" and all year round accessible by car. The fantastic panorama view location of the hotel at the ascent to the “umbrella hill” at the old road between Río Claro and San Vito and close to Piedras Blancas National Park, offers all amenities to our guests. The harmoniously colored installation, integrated into a tropical garden, a paradise for birdwatcher, has sixteen roomy housing units in eight individual bungalows. This small village at 15.000 m2 although includes a special for our hotel designed pool and whirlpool with waterfall. Tropical ambience will find our guests at the rancho style restaurant where they can enjoy our homemade specialties like bread, ice-cream, hot sauce and a great variety of tropical meals. Our bright, airy rooms with mosquito net, air conditioning or ventilator privateterrace, completely tiled and equipped with natural wood furniture from ecological plantations. A small refrigerator / mini-bar and a safe box make sure that our guests can feel "as at home". Each bathroom has a hot water shower and separate toilet with hand washbasin. WIFI is available at the restaurant used as reception and information point for multiple excursions in the area, too. As a special service for our guests, we offer free coffee in the morning starting at 6.30 a.m. and laundry service on request.
Just in time for the start of the season 2010, we were able to inaugurate our new sun terrace below the pool and the new trail "Las Palmas" with access to our oil palm plantation. A trilingual plant and bird guidebook offers our guests detailed information about the habitant plants and birds in our garden. For guest with quite a thirst of knowledge, we offer a guided walk into the plantation including a presentation of the different stages of the production of palm oil afterwards.

El ambiente tropical encuentran nuestros huéspedes en el restaurante aire libre estilo "Rancho" donde pueden disfrutar nuestros especialidades hecho en casa como helado, pan, chilero e una gran variedad de platos tropicales. Nuestras habitaciones bien ventiladas y completamente embaldosadas, disponen de mosquitero, aire acondicionado o ventilador, terraza privada y están totalmente amueblados de madera de plantaciones ecológicas. Cada habitación dispone de una cama doble y una cama sencilla, juego de sillas, guardarropa abierto, ducha con agua caliente y cuarto de baño separado harmónicamente integrado en la habitación. Equipado con un mini-bar e una caja fuerte nuestros huéspedes se pueden sentir "como en casa". A tiempo para el inicio de la temporada alta 2010 ya inauguramos nuestra nueva terraza debajo de la piscina y el sendero “Las Palmas” con acceso a nuestra plantación de palma aceitera. Un libro trilingüe de plantas y aves ofrece toda la información de la fauna y la flora de nuestro jardín. También ofrecemos una caminata guiada hacia la plantación de palma aceitera seguida de la presentación y explicación de las diferentes etapas en la refinería de palma africana.
Besuchen Sie eine aktiv bewirtschaftete Palmenfarm mit 22 Hektar, die auf dem Gelände einer ehemaligen Rinderfarm angesiedelt wurde. Zu Fuss haben unsere Gäste die Möglichkeit die wöchentliche Ernte zu beobachten. Die geernteten Früchte der Ölpalme (Elaeis guineensis) werden zu cholestorolfreiem Öl verarbeitet.
Anschliessend lädt der Fluss "Rio Chiricano" mit Naturschwimmbecken zum Abkühlen ein, bevor unsere Gäste sich wieder auf den Rückweg machen. Gerne helfen wir auch bei Durchführung von Ausritten mit einheimischem Führer in die nähere Umgebung des Hotels wie z. B. der Besuch eines Wasserfalls oder ein Ritt in den "Cerro de Paraguas" (Regenschirmberg), der herrliche Ausblicke auf den Golfo Dulce "Süssen Golf" und bis nach Panama bietet.
Rio Claro verfügt über Banken, Tankstelle, Apotheken, Supermarkt, Internetcafe und diverse Restaurants und Bars. Durch unsere Anbindung an die "Interamericana", in nur 1,5 Kilometer Entfernung, bieten sich unseren Gästen eine Vielzahl von Ausflugsmöglichkeiten bei deren Planung wir gerne behilflich sind.
You can visit an actively managed palm farm on 22 hectares, which was settled at the area of a former cattle farm. By foot our guests can observe the weekly harvest . The fruits of the oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) are converted to cholesterol free oil.
All participants can cool down later in the nature pool from "Rio Chiricano" river before they start their way back to the hotel. We will be glad to arrange horseback tours into the closer environment of the hotel with a local guide visiting a waterfall or the "Cerro de Paraguas" (umbrella mountain), which offer amazing panorama views to the "Golfo Dulce" (Sweet Gulf) and Panama.
Rio Claro has banks, gas station, pharmacys, supermarket, Internet cafe and different bars and restaurants. Our strategically location to the "Interamerican" highway, only 1.5 kilometers, offers a multiplicity of excursion possibilities and we are glad to help our guest with the reservation.
Visita una granja activa de cultivo de palma africana de 22 hectáreas, que fue cultivado en el área de una ganadería abandonada. Al pie pueden nuestros huéspedes observar la cosecha semanal. En la refinería convierten las frutas de palma (guineensis elaeis) a aceite sin colesterol.
Antes del regreso al hotel los participantes pueden refrescarse en la piscina natural del "Rió Chiricano" que pertenece también a la finca. Con mucho gusto organizamos excursiones a caballo con guía local a los alrededores del hotel. Por ejemplo la visita de una catarata o al "Cerro de las Paraguas" que ofrece panoramas magnificas hasta el "Golfo Dulce" y Panamá.
