Zum Hotel gehört eine aktiv bewirtschaftete Palmenfarm auf 22 Hektar, die auf dem Gelände einer ehemaligen Rinderfarm angesiedelt wurde. Zu Fuss mit unseren Gummistiefeln haben unsere Gäste die Möglichkeit die wöchentliche Ernte zu beobachten. Nach der Rückkehr zum Hotel werden anhand von Produktions-Mustern die verschiedenen Zwischenstadien in der Raffinierung bis zum Endprodukt der Ölfrucht (Elaeis guineensis) erklärt. Verwendung findet das colestorolfreie Öl zum Kochen, als Zusatzstoff in Waschmitteln, Schokolade, Parfüm und als Biodiesel um nur einige zu nennen.
Part of the hotel is an actively managed palm farm on 22 hectares, which was settled at the area of a former cattle farm. By foot with our rubber boots our guests can observe the weekly harvest. Returning to the hotel we have a chat where we demonstrate the different samples of the production and answer questions. In the refinery the fruits of the oil palm (Elaeis guineensis) will proceed to cholesterol free cooking oil, additive in chocolate, detergent, perfume and last but not least to biodiesel.
Parte del hotel es una granja activa de cultivo de palma africana de 22 hectáreas, que fue cultivado en el área de una ganadería abandonada. Al pie con las botas de hule nuestros huéspedes pueden observar la cosecha semanal. Regresando al hotel hay una charla donde demostramos las diferentes muestras de etapas de producción y contestamos preguntas. En la refinería convierten las frutas de palma (Elaeis guineensis) a aceite sin colesterol para cocinar, aditivo en chocolate, detergente, perfume y biodiesel.
